Who we are
Darren Moore trading as LuggBuddy is the data controller for personal information processed through LuggBuddy.com. Contact: 67 Caldwell Road, Nuneaton, CV11 4QE, United Kingdom (t)+44 7774 293949.
Information we collect
Depending on your interaction, we collect name, contact details, billing and delivery addresses, order and transaction details, returns and support correspondence, and account information where accounts are offered. Website operation may also generate IP addresses, browser information, security logs, basket/session information and privacy preferences. We receive data from you and transaction and delivery updates from relevant providers.
Why we use it
We use information to take and fulfil orders and administer returns on the basis of performing our contract; answer pre-purchase requests on the basis of taking steps towards a contract; keep required accounting records on the basis of legal obligation; and provide general support, protect the site, prevent fraud and handle legal claims on the basis of our legitimate interests, where appropriate. We consider the effect of legitimate-interest processing on your rights. Optional processing requiring consent uses that consent. Necessary order information must be supplied for us to fulfil your purchase.
Service providers
Our website uses WordPress and WooCommerce and is hosted by Hostinger. Relevant information is processed by hosting and technical support services, payment providers selected at checkout, delivery services, email services and professional advisers as necessary. It may be supplied to authorities where legally required.
[Payment gateway setup is still pending: Stripe and/or PayPal integrations, with links to their relevant privacy notices and specified what payment information LuggBuddy receives or stores. No claims of payment methods are active before setup.]
For delivery by Evri, relevant information can include your name, address, email and mobile number needed for delivery and tracking. Our customer correspondence uses Gmail. [Confirm any additional transactional email, form, backup, security, video or other external providers.]
Marketing
Buying a product or making an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to promotional emails. [Verify that no analytics or advertising services run before stating their absence.] Any future marketing signup will explain its purpose and how to unsubscribe.
International launch notifications
If you request an international launch notification, we collect your email address, selected delivery country and, if supplied, first name. We also record the signup time, your consent wording and time, source and subscription status. We use this information with your consent to notify you when LuggBuddy delivery becomes available in your selected country. This does not subscribe you to unrelated promotions.
The form is processed through our WordPress website hosted by Hostinger and stored in a private Google Sheet using Google Apps Script. Your signup details are not displayed publicly. The website uses a short-lived, hashed IP-based counter to limit repeated submissions.
You can withdraw consent, ask us to correct your country or request deletion using our Contact & Support page. We keep the notification record while it is needed to fulfil your request, subject to withdrawal and our retention criteria below. A repeat signup does not change an existing country or reactivate an unsubscribed record.
International processing
[Verify which providers process data outside the UK, relevant destinations and applicable transfer safeguards. Add a specific, accurate explanation and how to request details of those safeguards.]
Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the stated purposes, legal obligations and disputes, then securely delete or anonymise it. [Confirm and insert retention periods or clear criteria for accounting/order records, enquiries, complaints, accounts, security logs, backups and cookie choices. Align actual system settings with this policy.]
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent where relied on, without affecting earlier lawful processing. Rights have legal conditions; some records must be retained. Contact us to exercise a right. We may request proportionate identity verification and normally respond within one month, subject to permitted extensions. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures and restrict access to those who need it. No online system can guarantee complete security. Keep account credentials confidential.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and similar technologies store or access information on your device. Necessary technologies may support requested functions such as basket, checkout, login and remembering privacy choices. Optional technologies will be explained and consent obtained where required before activation; browsing alone is not consent.
[Insert a verified inventory with names, providers, purposes, duration and consent category. Check the homepage, basket, checkout, payment integrations and QR video page, both before and after consent choices. Confirm the banner accurately controls relevant technologies.]
You can manage cookies through browser settings. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent parts of the shop working.
Policy updates
We update this policy when practices change and revise the date accordingly.
